Java Monkey

I went to a poetry reading tonight at Java Monkey in Downtown Decatur. It was a lot of fun. I even got up and read. I thought people had to sign up in advance (which some people do) but they had space on the list so I read a poem entitled "Ode to the Blank Page." It was fun. I was nervous, but the crowd was very friendly. Really I was amazed at the diversity of the people there. I think it's refreshing to know that poetry is alive and well. I definitely want to go back. Java Monkey has poetry every Sunday at 8pm. Check it out.

I'm glad you emailed me about your blog. I've been wondering how you're doing but I couldn't find your email. And then this morning I saw your post on atml and then I got your email about this blog. Your writing is great! I really liked the one about driving at night.
